சங்கத்தமிழே வணக்கம்!
என்னென்று சொல்வேன்
உள்ளத்தின் உணர்வுகளை!
தமிழென்றால்
மொழியென்று மொழிகின்றார்
அல்லவென்று மறுப்பேனில்லை
தமிழ் நமக்கு மொழி மட்டுமில்லை
வாழ்வியல் சொல்லும்
உயிர்க்கும் இணையாக நிற்கும்
மொழிஎன்ற எல்லை தாண்டி
உணர்வாய் நிற்பது காணீர்!
சுவர்க்கத்தில் ஊறும் அமுதம் என்று
கதைசொல்லி வைத்தார் அறிவீர்
சுவர்கம் என்பது தமிழில்
சக வர்கம் என்று பிரியும்
சக வர்க்கம் என்பதை தான்
சங்கம் என்று கண்டோம்
சக வர்க்கம் கூடிய போதெல்லாம்
ஊறி நின்றது தமிழ்
அமிழ்தாகி நின்ற தமிழ்!
முதுமை சேராதிருக்க அமிழ்து வேண்டுமென்றார்
தமிழ் அருந்தி நின்றோரெல்லாம்
குன்றா இளமையுடன்
குதூகளித்தார் காணீர்!
உடலுக்கு ஆகும் வயது
தமிழ் உள்ளத்திற்கு ஆவதில்லை!
இதைச் சொல்லும் விதமாய்த்தான்
தமிழைநல் அமுதென்றார் பாவேந்தர்!
சங்கத்தில் வளர்ந்த தமிழ்
எங்கள் அங்கத்தில் ஒன்றாம்!
சங்கத்தமிழுககும் தமிழுக்குச் சங்கம் கண்டோருக்கும் வணக்கம்!

Greetings!

Greetings, Sangam Tamil!
Greetings, Sangam Tamil!
What shall I say
About the feelings of the heart!
When it comes to Tamil,
They say it is a language;
I do not deny it.
Tamil is not just a language for us;
It stands as a companion
That speaks of life.
Beyond the limits of what is called language,
See how it stands as an emotion!
In heaven, they say, there is nectar,
And thus, the story is told.
In Tamil, heaven
Is divided as 'Sakha Varga.'
What we found as 'Sakha Varga'
Is what we call Sangam.
Whenever the Sakha Varga gathers,
Tamil has stood firm,
Tamil has stood as nectar!
Those who drink Tamil,
Wishing for nectar that does not age,
With youthful exuberance,
Rejoice, see!
The age that affects the body
Does not affect the heart of Tamil!
It is in this manner
That Bhavendhar called Tamil
The noble nectar!
Tamil grown in the Sangam
Is our own!
Greetings to Sangam Tamil and Tamil,
And to those who have seen the Sangam!
